Poster Project Presentation

The poster is about customer satisfaction towards services quality of public transportation and it is similar with the tittle that I have. The problem that I notice with thus poster is, there is no specific place where the research is doing and it is also take randomly. The results occur also don't have the specific or the relevant amounts.
This poster is about understanding students attitude and norms towards carbonated drink and the problem about this poster is the finding that is I don't understand what exactly she tell about. Other than that, objective that stated is to many and not sure where is the most important things among all of its.

Ethnography Study in Marketing

What is Ethnography?
Ethnography is the study of life and culture of a community or ethnic groups, such as customs, habits, laws, art, religion, language. Field preceding the study is very close to ethnography ethnology, namely comparative study of different cultural communities or groups (Richards et al., 1985).

Ethnography is a detailed survey of a group to describe the behavior, characteristics, and also culture. It is also a qualitative research method that aims to study and understand the cultural phenomenon that reflects the knowledge and meaning systems that guide the life of cultural groups.

Ethnography Study in Marketing
Ethnography in marketing is an approach that can be applied in the context of the industry and also covers business affecting the business category to consumers (B2C) or business to business (B2B). Other than that, ethnography in the world of marketing is to learn about the behavior of customers in selecting products or services offered by the marketers.

Advantages
• Using data sources from both qualitative and quantitative data from
• The data produced more accurate
• The data generated is more inductive

Challenges
• The time taken to obtain data for long periods of up to several months
• Many of the ethnographic method using a small number of participants and the atmosphere around   the small scale
• The decision must be made through ethnographic methods through experience

Fact or Theory

The fact is that all that was caught by the human senses and records data on the accumulation of the facts mentioned. The fact is often believed by many as the real thing because they have suffered from short statements or because they are deemed to have reported the experience of others. In fact the term knowledge is a result of the objective observation and verification can be done by anyone.

The fact is also often associated with: -
  •  Something that is considered to be actual as opposed to
  • Something real, which is used as an extension of interpretation
  • Information on specific subjects
  • Something credible as the cause or meaning
The theory is an assumption that is scientifically proven correct and it explains how and why an event occurred this wide world. According to sociological theory is an explanation of how and why people behave, interact, and manage himself. The emergence of the theory in sociology and anthropology has helped them to explain social behaviour that occurs in this world.

It is also a proposed  explanation whose status is still  conjectural and subject to  experimentation,  in contrast to well-established propositions that  are regarded as  reporting  matters of actual fact. Theory is a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially in light of the general ideas of the matters described independently. It also can define as a concept that is tested and can test to be used to describe an event.

Inductive or Deductive

Inductive

Inductive research emphasizes the reality of the situation where every social science produced is through data collection, data analysis and the formation of general conclusions. Observations as a basis for explaining the facts of reality social and observation is at the forefront. It serves to explain the social reality and the facts in this research is the perspective research that requires careful observation and measurement and clear objectives.
 Simple process

Data collection ----> Data analysis ----> The formation of general conclusions
 Deductive
Begins with the construction of deductive theories that then concludes hypothesis, the hypothesis will be tested by comparing or adapted to the data. In addition, there are also similarities with the inductive to observe but to see the cause and mechanism eventually find a mechanism that could see the social reality clear.

Inductive research is the category of research I got from my research through this topic because I make the observation of all the results that I obtained. In addition, I make an observation begins with certain measures to detect patterns and background on this topic and after all the results of this study is obtained, then the conclusion can be made.
The topics I choose to be more focused on service quality in public transport, which as we all know, the quality of service shown by some of the current concern. Public transport is considered as low-quality services when only a handful of locals who use it. I will discuss the quality of life and will only focus on public transport only. In Malaysia, there are various types of public transport such as buses, taxis, LRT, commuter rail, monorail and many more.
The purpose of this public transport to facilitate movement of people who can not afford to have their own vehicles and also to avoid a traffic jam those cities like Kuala Lumpur. The study was conducted in four major towns throughout Malaysia, namely Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur and Kuching. In 1990, the average public transport for every 1000 population is 9.6 and in 2000, also, is the average of 14.7 per 1000 population. Although public transport in several towns in Malaysia increased from 1990 to 2000, only 20% of the citizens to use public transport compared to 60% in developed countries fell. Extracted from the speech of Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. According to him, this is the habit of Malaysians who are more comfortable using their own vehicles as compared to public transport. This is due to poor public transport and have yet to meet the needs of consumers, especially in terms of connections and time resolution.

Public transport will only be the choice of all if there is good access to destinations, services and travel is not interrupted. This is the dream of all public transport users. Such systems can only be achieved if a user is using a ticket and can choose services from various companies. In conclusion, all this shows that the quality of life in Malaysia in the field of public transport in rural areas still in dire straits and must be improved. In urban areas, although there are various types of public transport, but it is not effective then, the quality of life in the field of public transport in Malaysia is still low level.

Service Quality in Transportation

An individual will choose to drive in a shorter period using a comfortable and convenient alternative for travelling daily. Quality of the transport system affects the comfort and convenience of the individual and therefore they must be smart to choose vehicles to ensure the comfort and safety for a long time. Several factors must be emphasized that the speed, price and fuel efficiency of a vehicle. Comfort and convenience also affect when in a time-consuming travel. The reasons why I choose this topic because as we know nowadays the quality of service in transportation is getting worst day by day especially in public transport . So, as a one of the users that use this transportation, I want to do a research and investigate about why the quality of service in transportation can be severe. As one of the developed countries, the transport system must be in good condition and quality of services offered also at the best level.

Some of the problems that I want to handle is the cost and relatively expensive fare. Passenger fares, especially for taxis and LRT are considered expensive, especially for low-income people and prevent them from using the transportation system more frequently. This resulted in the number of users of public transport especially the LRT is less and not comprehensive. Most of them only use public transport only when desperate or just for the office only. So, this major crisis should be resolved by the government if they want to see people in this country in droves to use the public transport.

Other than that, the crisis of public transport is also associated with inefficient management practices. People consider public transport system, especially public buses are useless in terms of timeliness of operations. Frequent bus delay and do not follow a set itinerary. This led to the society it is difficult to plan and anticipate the future course of the risks they face. The delay in arriving to work a major issue due to the inability of management to the problem. Problems of maintenance of public bus, LRT, and taxis are also said to be included in the category of maintenance that is not disappointing as a whole. Therefore, people are not only disappointed to see the failure to comply with public transport but itineraries at the same time the failure to maintain the quality of public transport services was also felt.

What is Research?

Research means to do a study, find information more deeply, penetrate further, and undertake a comprehensive review of the subject also is the process of finding solutions to a problem after a thorough study and analysis of the situational factors. On the other hand, research also is the process of gathering information for the purpose of initiating, modifying or completing a survey conducted includes any data gathering, information and facts for the advancement of knowledge.

There are different views of several individuals on the research and their views are as follows:
  •  Research is defined as a full investigation be careful, thorough, intelligent and broad-based on a specific subject or subjects, with the aim to increase and expand the knowledge of mankind. (Manheim, 1977)
  • Research is problem-solving activities that lead to knowledge and new findings by using methods to identify and question that is being used by scholars in the field. (Helmstadter, 1970)
  •   Research is an investigation or experimentation aimed at finding and interpreting the facts, to repeat the received theory in practice the use of new discoveries or theories or laws and regulations which are applicable to new or re. (Woolf, 1975)
  • Research is the question carefully or testing to obtain or find the information or communication and to develop and validate knowledge available (Rummel and Ballaine - Research and Methodology in Business)
  • Scientific research is systematic research methods and refined by using equipment and procedures to obtain meaningful solutions to a problem from the use of methods that would not make sense (Rummel and Ballaine-Research and Methodology in Business)
GENERAL STEPS IN RESEARCH PROCESS

STEP 1: Choose the Topic
Research began with the problem like researchers saw a lot of problems in the area to be studied.

STEP 2: Focus the Research Question
Reduced research topics by asking questions on specific research and development related research questions and goals and objectives of this research center explained.

In addition, there are two types of transport, namely: -
• Public
• Individuals
